A Legacy of Hope
Since 1974, International Needs has led the way in changing the lives of vulnerable children through child sponsorship, community development programs and discipleship training. Unique to the foundation of International Needs is founder and visionary Ray Harrison's focus on empowering communities by helping them serve God and others in their own countries. We began our mission by planting churches in areas that had never heard the message of the Good News. As we began partnerships with the local church in the developing world, we found that there was a very real need for life essentials like food, clean water and education. By building trust with leaders and governments, International Needs found ways to build up communities by first empowering villagers through education, skills training and opportunities for health care, clean water and sustainable agriculture. International Needs Today:Today, International Needs works in 36 countries around our world and partners with 1,200 national staff members to reach over 10,000 people each week. Countries in the developed world supply the funding and resources needed for our partner countries in the developing world, helping men and women undertake community development in their own communities. Men and women who were once silenced by oppression are given a voice to secure hope in their communities, establish infrastructure and lead their families toward a future of hope and promise. |
