Bethany Children's VillageBuilding a future of hope and promise
Project Summary:Bethany Children's Village is a home for more than 100 young boys. Each boy has been abandoned by their parents, either by death or poverty. They are caught in the overwhelming struggle of life and death. At Bethany, each boy is given the opportunity to attend school and learn life-long skills that prepare them for independence when they graduate. Our prayer for each boy is that they will be able to gain employment and lead change within their communities.
Project Goal
Project Details:With more than 600,000 children unable to attend school in Bangladesh, the need for Bethany Children's Village is extremely high. When abandoned, these young boys must learn to live on the streets, finding their mentors in older boys involved in gang violence, drug abuse and steeped in poverty. Your gift to Bethany Children's Village covers the cost of the construction of additional buildings for 100 boys. It also provides housing for leaders and teachers who work at Bethany. Each boy will receive a child sponsor to cover the ongoing cost of their care, but the construction costs are not covered in that support.
