Church Planters Bursary

Christians in the developing world often face barriers of stigma and oppression from their communities and political leaders. This prejudice, when coupled with extreme poverty, prevents many congregations from securing a place to meet, or from having access to Bibles and teaching materials.

A core element of International Needs's work is partnering with local leaders to bring the message of Jesus to hard to reach areas. When we offer the opportunity for church leaders and young people to receive sound biblical teaching, we provide a way for the Good News to be shared with communities devastated by civil strife, poverty and disease. But more than this, we provide financial support for land fees and building supplies, helping communities secure a place for worship and community fellowship.

A gift of $600 today will provide pastors with a year's supply of resources and training materials needed to raise up a generation of godly leaders. Through this support, leaders are able to plant churches and establish principles of justice, peace and unconditional care and support in their communities. Through theological study, counseling and spiritual mentorship, church leaders are encouraged and educated on the foundations of the Christian faith and how to lead their communities towards a future of hope.

Vocational Scholarship

In many of our world's developing countries, illiteracy and poverty prevent many men, women and young people from gaining employment. Through the gifts of our donors and the expertise of our staff and volunteers, we are able to provide communities in the developing world with opportunities for job skills training and trades education at our Vocational Training Centres.

These centres provide hands-on-training and essential job skills in trades such as tailoring, mechanics and carpentry. After training we work with each student, helping them find employment in industry trades through micro-finance loans, apprenticeships and small business ventures.

A gift of $75 a month will help adults and young people achieve their full potential so they in turn can establish hope and commerce in their communities. As students are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to secure a job, they are empowered both socially and economically. They are not only able to make a valuable investment to their community, but also provide life essentials for their families.
