About Fatema: Fatema's family stays in a hut made with bamboo and hay. They are very poor, her father works as a day labourer but earns only a small amount of money. Fatema's Mother is a housewife.
About Pakhi: Pakhi's family became destitute after the death of her father. Her mother took Pakhi and her sister to live with her grandfather but he could not support them. They are dependent on the charity of others.
About Nipa: Nipa is from a ver poor family. She lives with her parents. Her favorite game is playing with dolls, she enjoys reading Bengali books.
About Gihan: Gihan enjoys playing cricket with his friends and learning Sinhala.
