About Sumi: Sumi is from the Kujail village in the Northwestern part of Bangladesh. She lives in a bamboo hut with both of her parents and a younger sister. Her father works as a daily labourer and her mother is a housewife. They have no land or property on their own for cultivation. The income the father earns is not enough to meet the basic needs of the family. An education will give Sumi hope for a brighter future. Sumi enjoys amusing stories and her favourite game is a Bangladeshi game Ekka Dokka.
