About Gihan:

Gihan lives with his parents in a makeshift community located beside a dump site and a dirty canal. Most families here live in small, shed-like homes made of plastic sheeting and boards. There is no toilet or running water. His father is a labourer and his mother is a housewife. Their income is inadequate to provide for the basic daily needs of the family.

Gihan enjoys playing cricket with his friends and learning Sinhala.
